“Friendship Train” has only been out for about 2 weeks now. Next week it will make its way into the top 40 at #37 and it will peak at #17 in late December. It will be Gladys Knight and the Pips biggest hit of 1969.
The “regulars” on board the “Friendship Train” today are: Frank Vanderpuil (0:22), Carl Ratcher (0:54), Cathy Kilborn & Marty Mane (1:14), also Nancy Demelo & Bill Cox (1:00), Rebecca Ladolo & Peter Hewett (1:05), and Lee Allen (3:16).
…..And in 2 days (Nov 10th) the NET network (now PBS) will premiere a new television show that will teach preschool age children their numbers and letters (among many other things) with the help of Jim Henson’s Muppets. The first episode of “Sesame Street” introduced Bert & Ernie, Kermit the Frog, Big Bird, and (an orange) Oscar the Grouch and was brought to you by the letters W, S and E and by the numbers 2 and 3.
