the track was originally released in 1996 on "Henry Street". The track contains of course samples such as " Who Is He And What Is He To You" by "Creative Source" which have been not credited. Armand van Helden was really successful DJ and producer who first released on the high profile label "Nervous Records" and "Strictly Rhythm". Very often he uses classic house beats combined with "samples from the "R&B-", "Soul-", "Hip Hop-"Genre. Also he did remixes for "CJ Boland", "Tori Amos", "Daft Punk", "Puff Daddy", "Kate Perry", "Rolling Stones"... just to give you an idea that he definitely was / is one of the world´s top house musicians.
"Funk Phenomena" got licensed to several music companies in the world. For example "Zyx Music" for the territories of "Germany / Austria / Switzerland" which we´ve been responsible for as we worked as an "A&R Manager" at that time for "ZYX".
