Fronted by the charismatic Sir Monti Rock III (real name Joseph Montanez Jr.), Disco Tex & The Sex-O-Lettes had two Top 40's; Get Dancin' (1974 - #10 - Pop; #3 - Dance; #32 - Soul/R&B ) and I Wanna Dance Wit' Choo (1975 - #23 - Pop; #7 - Dance; #33 - Soul/R&B). Dancin' Kid is the final single to make the Billboard charts. Written by Kenny Nolan, the song peaked at #60 on the Billboard Hot 100, while on the Billboard Soul/R&B, that same song did worse, only making it at the bottom of the chart to #99.
