Greenback Dollar (Acton-Ramsey) by The Kingston Trio
The Trio’s LP version included the original Hoyt Axton lyric “And I don’t give a damn about a greenback-a dollar.” To facilitate mainstream AM radio airplay (remember…this was 1963), Capitol Records edited in a guitar chord in place of the word “damn” on this single-release version.
