"So Sad (To Watch Good Love Go Bad)" was written by Don Everly and originally recorded by The Everly Brothers in 1960. Emmylou Harris and her Hot Band included it on her live album, Last Date originally released on vinyl on Warner Brothers Records in 1982 and on CD on Eminent Records in 2000. Released as a single, "So Sad (To Watch Good Love Go Bad)" broke the country Top 30 in the summer of 1983. The album peaked at number 9 on the Top Country Albums chart.
